Elementary Education:
- Students learn effective, research-tested strategies for teaching reading, mathematics and science in the early grades.
- Core attention to issues of equity and inclusive learning practices for younger children.
Secondary Education:
- Students will learn effective, research-tested strategies for supporting high school students and fostering positive classroom cultures.
- Strong focus on adolescent literacy across all curricular areas.
- Single Subject credentials offered in: English, mathematics, biological sciences, chemistry, geosciences, physics, social science, and world languages (Spanish).
Catholic Education:
- A formational program specifically designed for the needs of Catholic schools.
- Students earn both an MA Teaching and the academic preparation for a CA teaching credential.
- Programs for both existing Catholic teachers across California (CatMAT) or a specialized program for aspiring teachers seeking to live in community with fellow students in the Bay Area (ExCEL).
